Common questions

Honest answers to the questions we hear most.

How often should I have my septic tank pumped?

For most households, every 3–5 years is the right rhythm — but it depends on tank size, number of people in the house, and how much water you use. We'll look at your actual usage and give you a real answer, not a generic chart.

Aerobic vs. traditional septic systems — what's the difference?

Traditional (anaerobic) systems rely on bacteria that thrive without oxygen, with effluent dispersed through a drainfield. Aerobic systems use air pumps to speed up treatment, producing cleaner effluent that's typically sprayed across the yard. Aerobic systems require maintenance contracts by law in Texas — we handle both.

How much does septic tank pumping cost?

Pricing depends on tank size, access, and what we find when the lid comes off. Call us at (936) 258-3080 and we'll give you a straight number based on your actual setup — no bait pricing, no surprise upcharges at the truck.

What are signs my septic system needs repair?

Slow drains throughout the house, gurgling toilets, sewage odors near the tank or drainfield, soggy or unusually green grass over the drainfield, or a system alarm going off (on aerobic systems). If you're seeing any of these, don't wait — call us.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes — and for aerobic systems in Texas, they're legally required. Our contracts cover scheduled inspections, on-time service visits, and a clear accounting of what your system needs. Call to get on the schedule.
